Free access to American 990-PF charity tax returns

nozaLogoThe NOZA 990-PF website provides free access to a database of American 990-PF (charity) tax returns. This allows you to research foundations in America and find out who the key contacts are and often who they fund. This project was started several years ago by Grantsmart and contains publically-available data received from the IRS. Note this is still only a Beta site and development is ongoing but it is free. An alternative free resource which does the same thing is the Foundation Center’s Foundation Finder, which has more than one year’s returns stored on the site.
