Beccy is a highly successful community fundraising specialist and project manager, with an excellent record of achievement throughout a twenty year career.   She is experienced in all aspects of community fundraising including strategy development and implementation, change management, leadership, communication and financial management and is skilled in leading donor facing fundraising teams as well as the critical fundraising support functions that underpin them.

She started her career as a community fundraiser at Imperial Cancer Research Fund (now CRUK), tasked with recruiting new fundraising committees.  With a flair for systems analysis and improvement, she became Head of Operations and was responsible for a multi-functional team overseeing community fundraising’s databases, administrative and financial systems and staff training and development. Here, she managed departmental restructures including the amalgamation of two departments, office restructures, database and systems integration. Returning to an income generating and supporter focused role as Head of Community Fundraising, she delivered an £8 million income target through a geographically dispersed team of 5 regional managers, 25 area volunteer managers and 5 area volunteer assistants.

A passionate advocate of community fundraising and volunteering, Beccy strongly believes in the power of this discipline to have a positive impact on people’s lives and of the pivotal role it can play in an organisation’s fundraising mix.

Beccy joined THINK in 2009 and now runs THINK’s Community Fundraising Forum and Supporter Services Forum. She has undertaken a range of community fundraising consultancy assignments for clients whilst at THINK, most recently for Diabetes UK, The Royal British Legion, The Children’s Society, Mind and Motor Neurone Disease Association.
