zooplaZoopla aims to create a transparent residential property marketplace in the UK by providing free information on property value estimates, sold house prices and houses for sale. Zoopla only seems to be able to estimate a properties value if it has been sold in the last 10 years, but it does provide the average price paid over 1, 3, 5 and 7 years in a street, and local information such as people, schools, crime and tax stats.

The website is really useful when valuing a persons property (when profiling for example), but should be used in conjunction with other house price website’s such as Mouseprice, which will allow you to then take an average value as each website will estimate differently based on the criteria they use.

The website also provides a Property Rich List for England, Scotland and Wales which details the top 20 highest value street and area in each country across those countries. Useful for matching up existing donors to wealthy areas.
